An Easy Evening
Black Dog’s lazy evenings is something I looked forward to. Two reasons: a) I like good scotch and b) It had the word “Easy”. Scotch is historically known as a drink of the elite. Most of you would have imagined an old or rather middle aged monocled guy, smoking a pipe, reading a newspaper, sipping scotch from a crystal glass while sitting besides a fireplace (Photo not included so you will have to imagine the Penguin from Batman)
But scotch can be a drink for the young and the evening at Westin was to prove that……
With a performance by Melissa Totten, the Madonna impersonator. who brought the crowd to it’s feet.
It was a spectacular 1.5 hrs show that featured music from the 80s, a number of dress changes and a lot of energy.
Though I had gone there for the scotch, still there was other stuff too. The organisers had made sure that they catered to different tastes; from wine to vodka, cocktails to rum. There was something for everyone.
Overall an enjoyable evening. As for me, I was enjoying my scotch…and as the tagline says “Let The World Wait”
